A New Chapter: Airmaster New South Wales Transitions to Larger Sydney Headquarters

Updated: Jan 17

To accommodate growing business demands, Airmaster NSW recently made the move to larger premises in Sydney.

Having established its primary NSW customer base in 2000, the first Airmaster NSW site was based in Lane Cove and commenced with just five full-time employees. Consistent growth over the last 24 years has seen the branch grow to over 200 team members, transitioning through site locations in Gladesville and North Rocks, prior to landing at new premises in Auburn.

On Tuesday, 12th of December 2023, members of the Airmaster team including CEO and Director Noel Courtney, Group Managing Director Wayne Bover, Director of Operations Neil Dickson, QLD State Manager and Director, Wayne Van Aken and ACT Branch Manager, Beau Watts were joined by Furihata san, Managing Director of Daikin Australia and Gaurav Malik, Daikin General Manager - Applied and Solutions Business to celebrate the site’s official opening.

Located at 42 – 46 Percy Street in Auburn, the new site rests on Darug country - the land of the region’s Indigenous people and first inhabitants. The premises were officially acknowledged with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by YuinDharawal and Ngarigo Custodian and Loreman, Leslie McLeod (Uncle Shane).

Airmaster NSW State Manager, Glen Packer, was delighted to host the event.

"Thank you to everybody who recently joined us to mark this occasion. Also, a special thank you to Leslie McLeod (Uncle Shane) for joining us at our opening, taking the time to pass smoke over our new building, vehicles, and team members to cleanse and protect. We were honoured and incredibly happy to learn that the quick lighting of the fire reflected the positive energy present amongst our team and throughout our new premises" he stated.

Following the day’s formalities, guests were invited inside for a cake cutting ceremony and a chance to tour the new headquarters.

With a combined office and warehouse footprint of 2300sqm, the fit-out has been thoughtfully designed with growth, collaboration, and a push towards sustainability in mind. Airy and open, the space is flooded with natural light and features 120 recently installed solar panels, expected to produce an estimated 220kWh of power on a sunny day, covering up to 100% of the site’s daily usage.

Other purposeful design initiatives include a large kitchen break-out area that can be repurposed as a space for informal gatherings and plenty of ‘tech connected’ meeting rooms for when privacy is required.

“Airmaster’s presence in NSW has grown during our time previously headquartered in North Rocks. We are incredibly proud of our new branch and look forward to better accommodating our expanding operations and hosting our valued clients and supply partners from within this modern, customised environment” stated Glen.

Having overseen the new fit-out design project from concept through to delivery, Glen also wanted to ensure there was a space available dedicated to physical activity and a bit of fun. The solution – a state of the art Golf Simulator.

This impressive piece of sporting technology will allow team members and office visitors the chance to take a mental and physical break whilst practicing their swing, guided by a built-in virtual instructor.

Airmaster Auburn is easily accessible via Sydney’s M4 and M5 arterial roads, boasting a location only 20 minutes from both Sydney Airport and the CBD and mere minutes from Olympic Stadium.
