Airmaster supports Victorian Indigenous Engineering Winter School

Updated: Nov 23, 2018

Airmaster are proud to become an inaugural Gold Sponsor of the Victorian Indigenous Engineering Winter School (VIEWS). Alongside fellow Gold Sponsor Google, Airmaster are excited to be supporting this initiative, which is hosted by The University of Melbourne.

VIEWS is a 6-day program designed for Year 11 and 12 Indigenous students who want to expand their perspective on the engineering industry. This exciting new program will allow students to get an insight into what it’s like to study and work in engineering.

Taking place from 1 – 8 July, the program is fully subsidised by The University of Melbourne including accommodation and travel expenses.

Part of the program involves first hand stories from Indigenous engineers and engineering students. By the end of the program, students will have a better appreciation for what engineering encompasses and how it can positively impact society by improving the lives of people across the globe.

Airmaster CEO, Noel Courtney is delighted that Airmaster have been given the opportunity to support the program. ‘Supporting a fantastic education initiative such as VIEWS complements the core values of Airmaster’, he says.

‘Knowing that we are supporting the future generation of engineers is something that we are passionate about contributing towards’ he added.

The VIEWS program is currently open for applications, click here to learn more.
