Airmaster in conjunction Daikin and Schneider Electric are participating in the upcoming Ultimate Treadmill Challenge in support of two worthy foundations: Starlight Children’s Foundation and EB Research Foundation.
The Ultimate Treadmill Challenge happens over a 24-hour period, with staff from all three companies ensuring that they continuously keep a number of treadmills running over this time. Staff will walk, jog or run among 30 treadmills at Westfield Doncaster from the 4th – 5th May 2018.
Established in 2007, the challenge was founded in order to raise awareness and funds that support various charities while allowing participants to get fit and have fun.
Charity partners
Starlight was first established in 1988, its mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children, teenagers and their families turning the pain, fear and stress associated with hospitalisation and treatment into fun, joy and laughter. They have granted more than 10,000 wishes and provide programs across every children’s hospital in Australia that help to distract from the pain and treatment.
The EB Research Foundation raises awareness and funds to assist in research and cure of the debilitating skin disorder Epidermolysis Bullosa. An individual with EB lacks the critical protein that binds the layers of skin together resulting in blistering and constant gaping open wounds. Living with EB is like living with third degree burns and too often results in an early death.
How can you help?
To help raise further funds, we are seeking donations to help support Starlight Children’s Foundation and EB Research Foundation. We hope to reach our target of $1,000 with 100% of the funds donated to these two worth causes. Every dollar counts and your generosity will go a long way in granting wishes for seriously ill children and finding a cure for EB.
If you are a Victorian-based staff member and would like to donate your time, we still have spots available. You can walk, run or jog for as little as half an hour.
