Recognising and celebrating the contributions of Airmaster team members is an integral part of our culture. Within our ACT branch, these milestones are marked through a unique and meaningful tradition - the Board Room Indigenous artwork. This mural symbolises connection, respect, and recognition, commemorating significant milestones and honouring the service and dedication of our team through the addition of handprints.
Created by Duncan Smith OAM from the Wiradjuri Echoes, the mural features a Meeting Place around a fire, alongside symbols of the Brindabella Mountains, the Murrumbidgee River, and Airmaster’s valued customers, as well as Emu and Kangaroo footprints. Each handprint added by team members celebrating their five-year service anniversaries further enriches the artwork, making it a lasting tribute to their contributions.
Recently, three ACT branch team members were recognised for their milestones and had the opportunity to leave their handprints on this cherished mural:
Zach Lee: Celebrating 10 years, Zach is the longest-serving ACT team member and the first to leave a second handprint on the mural. In recognition of his journey from apprentice to top-tier service technician, he proudly wore his first Airmaster shirt to celebrate this milestone. Zach’s knack for building strong customer relationships and his upbeat approach have been pivotal in creating a positive and dynamic team environment at Airmaster ACT.
Dale Hayes: Over his 5 years with Airmaster, Dale has transitioned seamlessly from Project Manager to Construction Manager. Known for delivering high-quality outcomes, his approachable leadership style has helped build a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Zac Winnel: Reaching 5 years of service, Zac brings a "can-do" spirit and sharp expertise in estimating, engineering, and project delivery. His contributions as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager have made him an essential part of the team.
The ceremony was further enriched by Carl Johnson, Airmaster’s first full-time Indigenous apprentice through the Worldview and Airmaster partnership, who led the handprint
additions.
ACT Branch Manager Beau Watts shared his thoughts on the occasion:
It’s a privilege to work alongside such dedicated individuals. Their contributions, both to our team and our clients, are invaluable. I’m incredibly proud to celebrate these milestones and see our mural grow as a lasting tribute to their service.
Congratulations once again to Zach, Dale, and Zac for reaching these important milestones. Your dedication and contributions are deeply valued, and we look forward to celebrating many more achievements together.
